1. Who we are

“Dubbing VIdeo” (the “extension”) is a product of Dubbing VIdeo. Send any privacy question to support@dubbingvideo.com.

2. Data that stays on your device

The following stays in your browser and we never receive it:

• Extension settings and the API keys you enter yourself.
• Words you save, with their example sentence and video timestamp. If you turn on Chrome sync, this list syncs through your own Chrome account (handled by Google).

Uninstalling the extension removes this data from your device.

3. Data we process and share

The extension processes data only when you use the matching feature, and only to provide that feature:

• Content to translate: text from the video or page you choose to translate (subtitles, titles, descriptions, comments) and sentences to be read aloud.
• Video audio: only when you turn on listen & translate for a video without subtitles.
• Pro plan details: your license key and a random device identifier (not linked to your name or email), to check that your plan is active.
• Anonymous error reports (off by default): site name, extension version, browser type and the error message; never the video address or what you watch.

Content to translate and audio are sent over an encrypted connection to third-party translation and speech service providers, or to the provider whose key you entered yourself, only to return the translation and voice; they are not linked to your name, email or account. Pro plan details and error reports go to our own server. When you buy Pro, payment is handled by a payment provider; we never receive your card number. Each party receives only the data needed for the feature you are using and handles it under its own policy.

4. What we do not do

• No ads. We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for other purposes.
• We do not collect your browsing history (only the site name, and only if you turn on error reports).
• We do not use data for credit or lending decisions, and we do not build profiles about you.
• We do not read the pages you visit, other than to show translated subtitles and the dubbing button on pages with video.

5. Retention

• Data on your device: until you delete it or uninstall the extension.
• Anonymous error reports: deleted automatically after 30 days.
• License key and device ID: while your plan is valid and as long as needed to handle disputes. You can ask us to delete them by email.

6. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

Our use and transfer of information received by the extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically: data is used only to provide the translation and dubbing features you ask for; it is transferred only to the services needed for those features; it is not used for advertising; and no human reads your data.

7. Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect children’s data.

8. Security

Connections to our server use HTTPS. Your API keys are stored only on your device and used only to call the service you chose. No system is perfectly secure: use keys with their own spending limits and revoke a key if you suspect it leaked.

9. Changes to this policy

When the policy changes we update the date at the top of this page. Important changes will be posted here before they take effect.
